Media reactors

I have a 100 gallon tank and running canister filters as a sump dose not fit under stand I want to run carbon and gfo and dont want to run in my filters and thinking of doing a hob reactor or 2 but wondering if I put gfo and carbon in a media bag and then sit them inside a spare hob breeder box if this would work as I see the flow for recators are 20 to 30 gph this would be a temp thing until I can save up for reactors but have a breeder box already laying around with a pump

It will work as long as there is flow through it, probably not as effective as a reactor would. I got a single reactor from brs and mix GFO and GAC in mine.

Is mixing gfo and carbon in same rector ok or is it better to run 2

I followed the BRS video and mix mine 50/50
