Does anyone have any experience with this for Ich? Just a curiosity as it does say "reef safe".

I am a scientist and I love this hobby and I know PolypLabs does great work, but I also love peer reviewed studies and the art of hypothesis with controlled experiments.

Listening to a few studies from YouTube with controlled environments and some coral species where fresh sea water had the best growth rates compared to reef chili, etc. other products. I love those studies.

Just love evidence based medicine is all. Anyone have any insight?

Reef Safe? Yes.

Effective against ciliate parasites? No.

At best, it will help reduce the numbers of theronts, but it will not rid a tank of the parasite.

Lots of actual research papers out there into Cryptocaryon irritans, however reefing forums are full of anecdotal opinions... Which is why some believe turning your tank into an aromatic curry with ginger and garlic will eradicate all ills. :)

It seemed to work for me. I had overdosed iodine by accident and the whole tank took a hit. Like most tanks ich is always present and when the fish’s immune system was low the ich took hold.
Before I started treating the medic the one clown fish was laying on the bottom and the other was confused or not seeing well and both not eating. The other three fish had ich but were behaving normally. There was a noticeable difference right away and both clowns were eating by day 2 of treatment.
Although I did stop poisoning with iodine, I believe medic saved those two fish. Also keep off corals put it on the sand and don’t premix let it dissolve in tank.

Didn't solve my whitespot problem. Had to catch and QT l my fish in the end plus a fallow period. I love thier products to (reef roids and reef primer), thus one just didn't do it for me. No corals or inverts in my tank appeared to be harmed by using it.

I used it to try and combat an ich outbreak in my tank. Ended up loosing a tang and two clowns after a couple weeks.

So maybe it bought me some time, or maybe that was how long it would have taken anyway?

I didnt notice any harm to any inverts, corals or my BTA though at least.
