Medicate automatically?

Wondering if i should medicate automatically in quarantine?..I am getting a new yellow watchman tomorrow and if he looks good (he better), I'll just Q him for a week or two if all continues to be well...or should I shoot him with copper or something else as a prophylactic...Thanks...
