I just lost two clowns to what was almost certainly Brook. All parameters were tested on Saturday and fine. Sunday night they were both covered in white spots, slimy coat. Clearly distressed. Store was already closed. By Monday morning I realized our local fish stores are both closed on Mondays. Petco and PetSmart only had API stuff, which didn't help at all. I guess it only treats Ick. I guess I should have tried RO/DI dips first, but was hoping the Petco stuff would work. First one died mid day and the second one last night.

Today I got Rally and Kick-Ick and Fritz Coppersafe. Two days too late, obviously. I am kicking myself for not being prepare but wonder how many reefers, especially those starting out, think about medication and stock them at all times.

many including myself focus on quality fish rather than price and impulse.
- Assure theyre eating
- Observe breathing
- Inspect skin/body for imperfections and/or disease
- Observe how it interacts with other fish in the tank

No opposition to having meds on hand. At times , it is unexpected and may not be a condition we have meds for
