So my shipment from Live Aquaria came in today, and I LOL'd @ just how tiny but cute this lil guy is. Finger for scale ;)

You like that 2 story PVC pipe? xD

Without tail, we're looking @ a 3/4" body or so.
In my QT, I typically monitor for 2 days or so, get them eating, then treat w/ prazi, bring copper up over 4x days, and do 1x more prazi session (2nd prazi happens during copper)

My fear is that this guy is supppper tiny, and being an angel, makes him extra sensitive. Is my fear accurate? Since he's so tiny, shall I be sure to not dose both medicines @ the same time for round2 prazi, and just separate them? It's worked fine on the other fish in my DT, but I just don't know how much his body can handle. I wanna get this guy in & out of medication ASAP that's why I prefer the overlap method.

Love to hear any input! Here are the options I have prepared, but feel free to modify them & lmk your thoughts. (And yes, I do pre-treat my fish. I personally prefer this precaution)

How soon may I do water changes while treating w/ prazi? Can I do a 25% WC 2x days after dose? Is that enough time for medication to kick in?

-----------------------------------------------
Treatment Sch V1:
Day 1. Acclimate & get eating
Day 3: Prazi Dose 1
Day 4: Raise coppersafe .5ppm per day
Day 7: Reach full copper therapeutic levels
Day 10: Praze Dose 2
Day 21: Transfer to DT (14x days copper, no observation period after treatment unless parasite signs show during QT period)

Treatment Sch V2:
Day 1. Acclimate & get eating
Day 3: Prazi Dose 1
Day 10: Prazi Dose 2
Day 11: Raise coppersafe .5ppm per day
Day 14: Reach full copper therapeutic levels
Day 28: Transfer to DT (14x days copper, no observation period after treatment unless parasite signs show during QT period)
-----------------------------------------------

Given the difference is only 1x week, but as said, I just really want him in & out ASAP.
Looking forward to your thoughts & where in the SCH I should include my water changes.

Thanks

PraziPro needs at least 24 hours to do its thing, so a waterchange after say 48 hours is pretty safe.

Personally, I like option 2 since I prefer not to overlap Prazi unless absolutely necessary

Yeah I'm thinking option 2 as well I prefer the speed to get him out of medication, but maybe each medicine solo would be better for the dude.
I wonder if it's better to switch the 2x around, and do copper first, prazi second. Hmm

And thanks on the info. 48h is great w/ me!

I recently bought a potter's angel. Was fine and swimming around etc. added 1 cap full of prazi to the 20g long qt tank and it died within 36 hours. ☹️

Oh no!!
Did you have sufficient oxygen in there? I have my powerhead aimed @ the surface to help w/ 02.
1 capfull you say? I think the correct dose is 1 tsp max per 20gal. I have the small bottle, and the cap looks way more than 1 tsp (5ml)
I know humblefish likes to dose less than the directions, and recommended (please find a post by him & don't quote me, I'm using memory here... not facts) 20% less than the advised dose.

Ahh yes I just went and looked. I was doing a tsp not a cap. I did a cap of stability for the main tank and got the two confused. And power head was pointed upward. There is also a goby, turbo snail, and Halloween urchin still in there and all are fine! Idk of the potter's angel was just super sensitive to the prazi or if maybe it was cyanide...going from ocean to collector to wholesaler to lfs to my
House was just too much for it or what.

I vote option 2, prazi alone, copper alone. Also the more time in QT the better. You can avoid copper all together and do TTM+Prazi, it takes 12 days and gives you another 2 weeks of observation.

So far I've had good success w/ copper, and also don't have another set up required for TTM

I've heard ttm for angels is also sometimes not the best recoomendation
