Hello. In Denmark and rest of EU i guess we can’t get medication for fish without a prescription (and the amount of vets who will help with marine fish are few and expensive) so buying a fish feels like a gamble. I do quarantine and pray they dont get sick. However i found something at my LFS called medtec copper. Does anyone know what it treats? On the label it just says “parasites”. Hope anyone can help and thanks in advance.

That appears to be copper sulfate. It will work just fine and seems to be very similar to a product available here called cuprion by brightwell.

The only downside is it has a very very tight window for being therapuetic, if you exceed the window it becomes toxic. So you will want an accurate test kit to monitor. Can you get Hanna instruments there? The copper checker works great.

Great. So it can be used to treat ich and velvet? Would be nice to have some peace of mind in that regard. Then there are only 99 other diseases i cant treat

I can get Hannah checkers here yes. I can get most stuff from the states via amazon if we dont have it in Denmark, like selcon. Just dont want to risk buying illegal medications as they can be taken in customs.
