Medusa worm???

is this a Medusa worm?

I was pulling individual “tentacles” to its mouth.

That is really cool. I dont think sea apples live in rocks. Medusa worms will often travel through them. So, probably a medussa.

Its poriferan sponge. Can be evasive. Gently pull of or remove rock its on and place in container of tank water and cut away

If so, I would suggest sea cucumber or another type of holothurian. Sea apples are one group of holothurians.

That’s it! Yep looks exactly like those but it’s a brownish gray.

Kind of tending towards sea apple with the way it is buried in the rock

yes after looking this up I do believe it is a sea apple

Their rotting corpses/process of dying are supposed to be very bad for your tank, no experience with that myself

That’s what it is! I remember reading that somewhere.

I did not realize these are opening and closing. Likely sea cucumber or apple. Cucumber generally on the move so may very well be apple.
