Meeting Requests-Nov.

I thought I would start a thread where everyone could post their requests for the next meeting. For example, If anyone has any blue legged hermit crabs that they would be willing to part with, please bring some to the meeting. I am trying to combat some green hair algae that has recently taken hold of my live rock.

Also, feel free to post here if you have something you would like to trade/give away at the meeting. For example, I have lots of limpets in my tank and I would be happy to bring some if anyone is interested. They keep the algae down on the glass really well!

Glad to see you around Jules, I can probably bring you 5 blue legs I just dont want to get rid of too many.

my blue legs don't do much for the hair algae problem I have. on the other hand the urchin I picked up is a machine. Only problem is, it's a friggin bulldozer!

Thanks, Tommy, that would be great. You can bring me less than 5 if you need to.

Yeah, I used to have some small black sea urchins that came on my live rock, but they got huge! I ended up giving them to a friend who had a much larger tank than mine.

Also, I was thinking about getting a lawnmower blenny to graze on the hair algae.

does any one know anything about the snail order? im going to pick up some new trashcans to hold my water and im going to raise the stand. once i get that done im going to start framing the canopy and dont feel bad some how i have crazyness going on right now the 2 heaters i have cant keep up with the turn over rate of the system when the lights came on this morning the tank was at 70 lights out last night i was at 77 and what amazes me more is all but 1 of my chromis disappered i only found one dead and my powder brown didnt survive the temps swings i knew i had them but i didnt know to this extent any one recomend a heater that i could use i have a 75gal pred tank and a 125 with a central 55 gal sump. o and i some how have green hair algea in one tank but not the other and i have cyno in one and not the other. so the next 2 weeks are going to be ruff for me but i do have another zoa frag like the ones i gave andy and susan i could bring i was shaping the piece i wanted and knosked a little chunk off i would say around 8 polyps

I wouldn't mind having a few extra zoa's. Susan gave me some of her Eagle Eyes and they are doing well in my tank. They were my first zoas ever, so I wasn't sure if they would live in my tank or not.

I am having problems with hair algae but a phos sponge and some chemi-clean cured my cyano in 72 hours, so you might wanna try that. If anyone knows something good for hair algae. please let me know

yeah im just letting it sit right now i have a couple days off coming soon and im going at it like nothing befor. i plan on pulling enough water out so i only have to do so a small amount of new water but i plan on scraping every bit of the hair alge off my frag rack and bottom of the tank and siphoning it all away and put everything back up on the raised stand and filling with sand and rock

Does anybody know when the next meeting is?? Also, I'll need directions. I guess someone would have eventually posted this info, I just wanted to make sure I don't miss it.

the rumor at the last meeting was it was going to be at tommy's im hopeing to get a few people over the month after and see if i have things going the right way im looking into an ro unit and im about to raise my stand and add baffles to my sump to get rid of the bubbles lol

I heard tommy was hosting as well, I usually do a fall meeting with campfire, smores and stuff, but after shooting brandon by accident last year I dont think we will be having it this year! LOL! But really I dont think I will be hosting a meeting. I think tommy is hosting though. Im sure he will post soon.

i can probably have one at my house like the second week of nov. trying to move some stuff around in my tank so it will at least be then, if you guys can talk it over any time the second weekend or after will be fine. or if bryan wants to do one and i can do the next one, bryan had expressed the want to shoot brandon again and i missed the first time so i would love to see that. so it doesnt matter to me.

im also willing to host i know im young but my parents are cool and they kinda understand my addiction slash hobby and the seem truly interested when me and my friends are talkiong but its totally cool if yall want to get together at my house

I would have it at my house, but 3/4 of the people who come leave after an hour like all meetings, and it is to much work to get ready if everyone leaves.
