Just to give everybody an update, I've been running the giesman 17500k bulb for a while now and i really like it a lot better than the 14k i was using before. I get way better growth and color. I still supplement with actinics but the color isn't bad without them.

Do you by chance have a link to them? I am new to MH and have a dual setup w/ SE 175 ballast. I have a 180g mixed reef and do not know which bulbs to use. I have been told that the 20k will be more blue; is that true? And how High above the water should I hang these?
These bulbs sounds good to me. Im looking for some POP that will give me growth and color; Prefer a bluish color but want the colors to radiate.
