Anyone noticed testing NO3 drops low when dosing melafix? Or is it just coincidence

Melafix is a junk product.

I have a chocolate goby that has had cloudy eye for a few weeks. I've been dosing melafix for the last 4 days and cloudy eye is almost gone. If that's the one thing it cures it's done its job.
Only problem is skimmer off and NO3 at 6ppm down from 12 in a few days

Agree on carbon dosing as melafix is teak tree oil and rendered useless in Freshwater what says saltwater- Merely a tonic

Managed to bottom out my Phosphate. Still have Nitrate.
No more melafix and turned off skimmer and fleece roll.
Feeding a bit more. Hopefully get phosphate up
