One of my fish has popeye in one eye and I wanna help him out but read it’s better to leave him in there to avoid further injuring his eyes . Does anyone have experience with melafix in there display tank? Thanks in advance

I agree, moving the fish may cause additional eye damage. This issue is rarely contagious to other fish. I would not add Melafix, the eye will heal or not on its own, Melafix won't improve that, it is more of a tonic, not an antibiotic. It is made from Cajeput oil. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cajeput_oil

I did melafix a while back and regretted it almost instantly. The skimmer was overflowing like crazy, and it took running carbon and a bunch of water changes to finally get the tank back to normal.
