Is melafix fish infection medicine safe to add to a reef? I didn't see any information listed whether or not it was. I have since put the infected fish in a quarantine tank.

I believe it is. But the best practice is to do as you did and put the fish in quarantine and treat there. Not worth the risk of your display tank

I use it as a coral dip, if I buy new coral, about one cap for 2 liters and a lot of things (pods, worms and crabs) drop and die with this dip. I know it is a high concentration but so far no coral loss due to a melafix dip.

I dosed the api one in my reef back in the day when I did not know better it did not cause any problems.

It's reef safe, but has limited benefit for treating gram positive bacterial infections.
