anyone have adverse reaction after adding melafix to tank? I added melafix to help with cut diamond goby had in jaw. Now the DG isn’t swimming and my clowns are now swimming lower than normal and acting very lethargic.

Melafix is nothing more than a teak tree oil tonic and may work but very slowly
Do a water change and increase oxygen and you want to use either of these:
Maracyn 2
Seachem neoplex
Ruby rally pro

first two listed in a quarantine setting

sick i worried about died within hours of adding melafix. My clown fish are acting strange still very lethargic, and are in middle of
tank vs normal hosting area near filter.

Definitely important to increase surface agitation, as the oil covers the water surface.
Like @vetteguy53081 mentioned, it isn’t super effective. I’d sooner not treat for an injury and let it heal (unless it gets infected).
Biggest risk for melafix is that it is toxic to birds - so if you have any you have to be very careful.

Welcome to Reef2Reef.

As said, Melafix is more of a tonic than a medication. It can cause issues due to the oil it contains. One key diagnostic is: does the tank have invertebrates in it? If so, are they o.k.? If they are, it is more likely some fish disease at work here....
