You need to either move seeded media from your tank, like a sponge. Or if you add new media, yes add bacteria in a bottle.

You do have to be careful as to what type of media you use, as it can absorb copper.

Ok I moved a bit of sponge from my sump to QT and added the bacteria in a bottle.
Do you guys have any other tips?
