My 2 Clowns, one Yellow Tang, one Royal Grama, 2 Six Line Wrasses and 2 Purple Fire fish were in QT due to Ich, I have decided to do the Tank Transfer Method. It depends on the antibiotic. Some require partial water changes, some can only be used for 5 days, others are 10. I always tell folks to follow the label directions. Remember, selecting which antibiotic to use is really just a guess. If after a full run, the fish is getting worse, consider trying a different one.

Isn't cipro and enrofloxacin close in terms of them both being quinolones? I'm not sure you'll see much difference. Lewbart gives the in-water dose for enrofloxicin (Baytril) as 9.5 to 19 mg/gallon, but it isn't clear how long that lasts in the water. Also, you need to know how much of the med that you have is binder, and remove that from the calculation. My 2 Clowns, one Yellow Tang, one Royal Grama, 2 Six Line Wrasses and 2 Purple Fire fish were in QT due to Ich, I have decided to do the Tank Transfer Method.
A few days later I saw some roten fins on the Purple Fire fish and one day later on the Yellow Tang too. In one week I have lost two fish to what seems to be bacterial infection ( the Royal Gramma and one Six Line Wrasse)
From 13.03 to 20.03 I have done daily Cipro baths for two Purpel Fire Fish and one Yellow Tang, but they were not fully cured
From 12.04 to 17.04 I have done one treatment with Furan 2 but It didn’t helped so I switch back to cipro from 17.04 till 26.04 .
Sadly that didn’t helped to and one of the Fire Fish and he has past away this morning, at this point I don’t know what to do next , the Tang looks better but the other Fire fish looks bad . I do have some Enrofloxacin on hand but i don’t know how to dose .The fish are all eating good and still in QT, first Tank Transfer Method didn’t work so now I am at the second try, today was the last transfer and from Tuesday the fishies should be Ich free.
Hello Jay, here are some new pictures, yesterday I saw some agression from the wrasse towards Purple Fire Fish, so i have moved the Fire Fish alone in a 5 Gallon Tank . The Fire Fish lost his dorsal Fin few days ago, but i’m not sure if that happened due to Bacterial Infection or due to agression from other Fish . No signs of Ich today.Isn't cipro and enrofloxacin close in terms of them both being quinolones? I'm not sure you'll see much difference. Can you post new pictures?

Hello, I don´t test the water as I am still doing the Tank Transfer Method for Ich, so I change the tank every 72 hours . The HLLE was not present in the DTYellow has bad case of hlle
What are your test readings and what test kits are you using?
Have you checked for stray voltage?
Diet:
Spirulina brine shrimp
Mysis shrimp
LRS herbivore diet
Hikari mega veggie
Sm plankton
Nori seaweed basted with garlic extract

You should monitor ammonia during TTM, I’ve seen 1ppm rises in 24 hours in smaller containers.Hello, I don´t test the water as I am still doing the Tank Transfer Method for Ich, so I change the tank every 72 hours . The HLLE was not present in the DT
Curently feeding: Mysis shrimp, Artemia brine shrimp, Pellets, Formula Twoand nori leaves, all the food is soaked in Selcon and Seachem Guarlic Guard .
The YT does seem to have HLLE. I can’t get a good view of the fire fish, but is it’s caudal fin missing?Hello Jay, here are some new pictures, yesterday I saw some agression from the wrasse towards Purple Fire Fish, so i have moved the Fire Fish alone in a 5 Gallon Tank . Yes, for about 2 or 3 days , I suspect due to agression from wrasse...The YT does seem to have HLLE. I can’t get a good view of the fire fish, but is it’s caudal fin missing?

I have seachem badge, but I have it just from yesterday. The YT does seem to have HLLE. I can’t get a good view of the fire fish, but is it’s caudal fin missing?

I'm not a huge fan of the ammonia badges, but they work o.k. when new - so it isn't showing any ammonia then?I have seachem badge, but I have it just from yesterday.
The badge is new and show no signs of Ammonia for now, the fish are only for 24 hours in the tank, i will test the water with Salifert test, thats what I have on hands.I'm not a huge fan of the ammonia badges, but they work o.k. when new - so it isn't showing any ammonia then?

Could the Bacterial Infection be the cause for caudal fin and not the agression from other Fish? The YT does seem to have HLLE. I can’t get a good view of the fire fish, but is it’s caudal fin missing?
Jay
It could be, that would be called a primary bacterial disease. Secondary bacterial diseases start at the site of a previous damage and are more common.Could the Bacterial Infection be the cause for caudal fin and not the agression from other Fish?
