I got this Melanarus Wrasse 3 weeks ago. Could she be pregnant?

I also don't think that's what's causing the bloating. How's it's ability to swim around is it actively swimming normally? Agree need @Humblefish or @melypr1985 to chime in @evolved or @eatbreakfast also wrasse pros. Our melanarus is out actively swimming all day long. The other thing if possible get more pics I'd say it's a male very possibly.

Also looking at pic enlarged it's appearing to be breathing hard possibly? How's it's breathing also.

How long after you fed did you take the picture? Mine gets a belly like that every day gorging on reef and fish frenzy.

I will definitely defer to better diagnostic minds, but if you just fed and she is active, I vote gluttonous melanurus just like mine.

About an hour after feeding the picture was taken. Fed mysis

Definitely not pregnant, as it's a male. If it's having trouble with it's swimming by being too buoyant, than it might have a swim bladder infection. If it's swimming is fine, than it could be an intestinal blockage.

My melanarus does that same thing. It just eats too much, eyes are bigger than its stomach.

If it's not having trouble swimming or controlling it's boyancy, then it probably just ate too much. I had a yellow coris wrasse that would gorge himself on food and look pregnant for the rest of the day. The next day he was back to normal size and would repeat the process over again. His mouth is open in the picture though, so I wonder if he's like that all the time? Is he constantly yawning, or keeping his mouth open quite a bit? Or was that just perfect timing with the picture?

^^Agree. First try feeding some peeled boiled peas to help push things out. If that doesn't remedy the situation, we'll move onto more aggressive options.
