Melev's Reef sumps

Melev is kind of a big name in the hobby, or at least was. I haven't seen many threads about people using his sumps. Anybody know if it is worth getting a sump from him?

Looking for a sump more suitable for my upgraded build to fit a 170 gallon display. I currently have a trigger ruby cube 20, so I doubt that will be sufficient volume.

I'm looking into regular 40 breeder aquarium, 50 gallon rubbermaid stock tank without bulkhead, then other alternatives. I don't think it's necessary to have a $1500 sump, but maybe Melev or LifeReef has something reasonably priced?

I do not have a sump from Melev, but he made me a custom made ATO container.

Certainly does. I used to follow his posts and blog in the RC days. Was glad to see that he's still reefing when I made it back into the hobby!
