DIY’d a media cup by melting slots in a polypropylene protein shaker. Soaking it in vinegar now but will this be safe in tank?

It should be.

Does it smell bad? Polystyrene smells bad when melted, which means small molecule organics are released, but polypropylene is a different polymer and doesn't concern me a lot.

I've made shroom cups by melting holes in Gladware and some vendors melt holes in the plastic sample cups for shipping.

It smelt like melted plastic, sorry, thats the only way I can describe it:). If it still smells after vinegar soak and wash, should I dump it?
