Hi all!

Quick question. The weekend just gone I went to LFS and brought back with me 2 reef Chromis (electric blue).
Everything seemed cool saturday.
Sunday my clown started behaving a bit.. off their heads.
My torch coral that was kinda used to them. Now is not extending longer than 1-1.5inch.
Today I've niced that these 2 mental thugs moved on to my new gonipora which has been added about 2 weeks ago.

Is this something I should be worried about long term? Or it's the kinda shaky- territorial show off and will pass shortly?

Or maybe I should consider quarantine? If so how long is the best period to keep them separated? Shall I remove them completely from the tank to separate one or simply basket by the top would do the trick?

Thanks all for advice :)

My clowns have been living in my goniopora and leather for over a year with no problems. The goniopora has at least doubled in size. Every coral is different though so keep an eye on it.

Nice leather thou..
What is it?
Always wanted one similar. I got some from few months ago but it's small and seems like it's not growing much.

To be fair I only recently moved everything to RSR250 and dosing all trace elements hoping the corals will love it.
Started slowly and aclimitised them to New 2x hydra 26 HD.

Finger crossed everything will start growing wild :P
So far I've noticed only my green Monty disc grown a bit.

It’s a toadstool leather. In my experience it likes dirtier water, this is that same coral now a year later:

It also budded off another head that is the same size as the mother. My water is terrible and it seems to love it.

I think I have same stuff.. just baby size
Wasn't really growing much.
You can see it on this video. Its the biginning of the video on right side of shot.

Got it for free from someone lol
Still has a tiny elastic band going in between 2 small heads.

It should grow, what are your water parameters like?

Ph 8.0
Sal 1.027
Alk 7.8-8.2
Ca 500+
Mg ? (I know I need to start testing Mg)
Po4 0-0.03
All basic parameters pretty much 0 at all times. (Ammonia, Nitrate and nitrite)

Might want to get your nitrates up a bit if you want to see fast growth in your leather. They usually like dirtier water. My nitrates are consistently around 25

Still.. does anyone know why they seems to be having epileptic fits? They just keep doing it all the time.
I'm not sure whether it's territorial thing.

They are about 1y old. Just slightly above. Bought together last year January.

How long this may persist and what's the best thing to do?
If it's few days / week I may just leave them be.

Otherwise I don't want my coral to get damaged because these little crazy things.

Salt a little high- lower to 1.026
Cliwns will beat a torch or similar to heck when they become protective.
Having a clown host a goniopora is not a bad thing as while keeping it clean of debris, they tend to feed it when eating their own food

I can’t see your video but Clowns act super weird when spawning. Have yours laid eggs before?
Try different internet browser. Sometimes safari and similar do not support videos.
Never spawned eggs as they just over 1 year. Unless I never seen them doing it.

I think it must have been the fact I ran out of RO for auto top ups and I've added salt there. But already changed to just RO.
