Hello,

I was wondering if someone could give me some guidance with my plate montipora. They are faded white and not full colour.

The birds nest right nearby is growing very well. My lps is doing pretty well. My Zoas are meh. They open up but not spreading so I’m starting to think iodine is low.

My tank
90g tank - approx 1 year old
20g sump
Filter socks
Bubble magus curve 5 Elite skimmer

3 - ai prime 16s for light. Since tank has a centre brace, one prime is moved over to give better par for my sps. Middle of tank is lps and other side is softies.
Montipora sit at about 200 par

Icecap 2k and 4k gyres at each end of the tank (not impressed with them. 2k is noises and 4k has issues not pushing as much water)

ai nero 3 with random flow around sps

Dosing kalk via dosing pump
I do have a bag of carbon in the sump

Nutrients - tests from today
Nitrate - 0.16
Phosphate - 0.03
Calcium - 405
Alk - 9.1
Ph- 8
Salinity - 1.026
I don’t have a magnesium test yet

Personally this is what I’d do.

1. Look for Nudi’s first.
2. Increase the N&P (0.8 and 8)
3. Bump Cal to 430
4. Test Mag
5. Check PAR

200 PAR for monti is borderline, I would suggest this is probably the reason
