I got the frag tank up and put together! Wow, that stand is heavy and im proud to say i put it together myself.

Shes getting filled up right now. Also i got some crappy pics of my new babies. The black cap is super shy, but shes finally coming out more and more each day. She didnt care much for TTM. The eel is doing well even if the serpant star keeps stealing his silversides. Lol Im sure he will get better at it. He hasnt eaten my fire shrimp yet either, which is a plus.

It will look much better when the Prime gets here. Unfortunately the darn hanging bracket thingy is on back order, so that sucks! I need time to get the salt mixed and all kinds of other stuff before I start putting corals in, so I guess it's ok if it's delayed some. The prime and a heater are on the way though. Pretty excited for that. I haven't had a fancy light on any of my tanks before.

Those primes are pretty powerful as well as the hydras. How high are you gonna have it off the water?

Not sure really. I wanted to see the bracket thing and see how it adjusts. Luckily I can just turn it down if I need to. I think it's like 12 inches or so, but I'm terrible with remembering numbers, so I'm probably way off there. I'll find out if/when it ever ships.

They are great lights haha, my friend has two hanging over his 60 gallon 3 feet off the water. It a shallow deep blue frag tank and he had the lights on 30% and bleached his pretty good. I'm not saying you will by any means I'm just saying be careful haha

Oh gosh! Well, the tank mount for the Prime is still on back order. I'm thinking I can get it quicker through the store and even save like $20 on it. I'll have to ask @MarineDepot if they will let me cancel that part of the order so I can get this frag tank done. I really dont want to wait another two weeks for this thing to come in. Seems like most people are out of the tank mounts though. Even our supplier only has a couple silver ones and I want black. I may just have to settle for silver on this. It's frustrating, but I'm working on it.

In other news, the tank is doing well. My eel and the black cap are both doing well. The black cap is coming out more and more every day - getting bolder. He's competing for food with the others and not hiding every minute like others I've seen. I'm working on getting another Blue Star Leopard wrasse this week. I'm hoping we get a really good, healthy one. Not sure where I'm going to set up my TTM tanks since I put the frag tank where they used to go. Hmm... gotta think about that one. I'll get pictures tomorrow when all the lights are on. I might even get out the good camera for it! Oh and the Serpent star is still more Boss than the eel. He's always sneaking in and stealing the eel's fish. lol

It was! I didn't realize I had so much to update! lol That's exactly what my coworkers said too. I've gotta call marine depot and see if I can cancel the order, but I have to wait until Wednesday to make sure our supplier has one to order still. Hopefully I can get one soon. I just dont get why these places dont stock as many tank mounts as they do light fixtures! I guess they have many different mounts, so it's hard to figure which ones you need the most of.... ugh. Now my head hurts! Did you know they have flexible arm ones now like the kessil mounts? It looks pretty cool. Not sure which one I want if they have both.

I didnt know that but I would probably go with the flexible one! Although it's all up to you in the end and what you like. Can't wait to see this thing done though

Wellllll, when you've had your frag tank up and running for a couple weeks now and you keep getting all these prime pieces at the store (that I can't get yet, because I have no light mount) then you tend to get pretty excited when it's shipped. lol I just fragged a really nice acro colony today and I"m excited to get to bring one home soon! There are a couple more that I'm excited to bring home too!
