There are times when i feel like a total moron. Today is one of those times. I couldnt figure out why my tank was so darn blue! I kept messing with the controls on thr apex and it was saying everything was on and all, so i was getting frustrated. Well, just now i start inspecting the wiring thinking i did something wrong, and sure enough i had a bad connection! A little push and the whites popped on! Yay!
That does look a whole lot better!

Well it would go nicely with the branching frogspawn I have already. lol Dont tempt me!! I wanna get these corals out of my frag tank and into my DT before I get any more.

My kid has lost his mind! He decided the betta needed some milk and poured about 6oz of 2% in his darn 5 gallon tank! Holly crappola! The first picture is after a 90% water change. The second is after another 90% change followed by about 50%. Im out of water and conditioner so i have to wait for the rodi to catch up. Ugh, what a night. Oh and the betta name "eel" is sitting in a coffee mug waiting for his home to go back to normal.

Thanks yall! Yeah, Jacob got a good scolding and a serious talk about not putting anything in the fish tank without mommy's OK first. I got most of it out, but it's still pretty cloudy. I"m being told by the freshwater expert from the store that it's ok to put "eel" back in the tank. I figure he can spend the night in the cup and I'll put him back in the tank in the AM. Just in case. Daily water changes on this tank for the foreseeable future.

It's still cloudy today, but I did another water change and put the betta back in. I dont think he's very happy with his situation right now either.
News on my tank.... My newest addition (blue star leopard) has come down with an infection on both sides of her middle. It doesn't look good. I can't get her out (tried) so I'm medicating her food for the next 10 days. Hopefully the kanaplex will work and she will keep eating for me. Fingers crossed!!

I got me a new skimmer! Its my mothers day present. Meet the Reef Octopus 150 SSS. This thing is silent! I may be partially deaf from my previous skimmer, but i didnt even hear it start up when I plugged it in.
So these pictures are from right after i plugged it in for the first time. Im thinking a bit of a break in period will be needed along with some water level adjustments. Its rated for a 110 gallon tank heavily stocked and i have a 75 gallon.... maybe 100 gallons total. I think im good now buddy!
