I generally don't like posting equipment/stats cause of the negativity iv encountered doing so. I don't run top shelf equipment and some people get upset from that. My methods are not in line with the majority as well.

I see 2 different rabbitfish in the third picture. Do they get along well or are there periodic "I'm the boss" spats? I ask because they are both from the Siganus family and I thought they may not be compatable. I have a scribbled (doliatus) and never considered adding a punctatus bcause of aggression issues.

You are correct, I have a orange spotted rabbitfish as well as a scribbled rabbitfish. They get along surprisingly well. My initial assumption was that they would fight and one would have to be removed. They did get after each other for the first 2 days but now they are often seen swimming together and like I said, they actually get along quite well. I attribute this to a few key factors, I feed heavily, I think most reefers would vomit if they witnessed what I put into this system on a daily basis. My aquascape provides ample swimming room both vertical and horizontal but most importantly, it breaks their line of sight of each other often. All in all, keeping them well fed and providing a habitat where they're not forced to constantly look at each other combined with pristine water conditions and peaceful tank mates seems to do the trick. I also strongly believe that it can be fish specific and the two that I have are inately peacful.

I agree that each fish is an individual and their personalities can vary from tank to tank. I would probably experience problems if I introduced a gold spotted. My scribbled is about 7" and I would have to get a large spotted. I have the space in my 400, but I am not sure I want to risk the possible aggression. I really like the siganus family for their shape, colour and personality. Plus my scribbled eats just about anything that is algae.

Standard off the shelf marineland 150 tall with corner overflow, custom stand and floating canopy. Dedicated 20 amp breaker.

Lighting, 2x Galaxyhydro 165 watt full spectrum wifi LED's complimented by 2x 4' cool daylight E5's.

Eshopps 3rd gen R200 sump refugium, jecod DCT 12000, aquatop mr30 gfo reactor, bubble magus curve 7, emperor aquatics 40 watt UV sterilizer, Jebao dp4 auto doser, apex controller. 2x Aqueon pro 250 watt heaters. 2x RW8, 2x RW4. BRS 4 stage RODI.

Media, 8x4 block marine pure, BRS high density gfo, BRS rox carbon, purigen.

Additives, BRS 2 part, Kent marine essential elements.

Feeding, 1/2" cube LRS reef frenzy, 3"x3" green nori daily. 1 pinch nls pellets via auto feeder 4 times daily. 1 pinch flake 2-3 times daily on
My days off. (Commence vomiting).

Maintenance, 8" filter sock cleaned weekly. 4" filter sock on gfo reactor cleaned as needed, all pumps and powerheads cleaned quarterly, skimmer head cleaned monthly, 5 gallons water changed monthly to flush fresh gfo. Glass cleaned weekly. It's really that simple.

Notes, I do not run a macro algae refugium on this tank. I maintain calcium at 450ppm, alkalinity at 9DKH and magnesium close to 1400pm. My phosphates stay below .05ppm and my temperature fluctuates between 79 and 80.

Livestock, various acropora, montipora, seriatapora, stylophora, including ora birds of paradise, WD Tenuis and super man encrusting montipora. Various Zoas, gorgonians and sponges, including utter chaos, Rasta, my clementine, poison alien eyes and star gazers. Various lps, gonipora, candy cane, lobophylia, chalice and acans.

Fish, 11 dispar Anthias, 3 Belize blue chromis, yellow coris wrasse, Midas blenny, tribal blenny, orange spotted rabbitfish, scribbled rabbitfish, lavender tang(my favorite) yellow tang and a Davinci clownfish,

Inverts, 4 skunk cleaner shrimp, 4 fighting conches, 3 tiger tail cucumbers, 15-20 Scarlett hermits, 30 Astraea snails, 2 large Nassarius snails, porcelain crab, 2 clams, various feather dusters.

seems like perfectly acceptable equipment to me. Good to see success with those Jebao pumps and dosers, they look like a good deal but I think some people are nervous about going to them with fears because long term success is not well documented. Its good to see someone stepping forward with a successful tank using them.

How do you like those LEDs? I have been tempted to pick up one to test out on a future build but there is such a dizzying array of black boxes out there it is hard to choose.

I agree with @Sm51498. You have a successful tank. Equipment helps make the tank but it is the operator who makes the tank a success. Good job.

I think the LED's speak for themselves. I decided to go with the Galaxyhydros based on the spectrum they offer. The Jebao pumps are great if maintained properly and regularly.

Here's the current schedule I'm running. Keep in mind, I also have E5's that turn on at 10am and shut off at 6pm. Also, these lights are mounted 15 inches off the water and I'm growing mostly sps.

Thank you SOOmuch for posting this! I have these same lights, and getting any consensus for a schedule has been a challenge I also have 2 t5s to supplement during peak times
