Mermaids cup removal?

Does anyone have a method to remove "Mermaid cup" or acetabularia from rock work, or maybe a critter that will eat it? At least I believe that is what this is, someone correct me if I am wrong.

I would agree it does look like that. Tang may eat it. Emerald crabs possibly. Can you manually remove it? probably need to take the rock out and really work it over spray some peroxide on it after removal.

Have an urchin or a turbo snail? I find most of my macros don't last long with an urchin or turbos in the tank. Urchin especially.

I’ve had an emerald crab in there for a couple weeks and it doesn’t seem to want the mystery algae. I’ll try an urchin next
