My BW BTA has its mesenterial filaments coming out of its tentacles..?.. it got stuck in a power head several months back and eventually split due to being cut almost in half. I'm wondering if the mesenterial filaments will eventually get reabsorbed or will always be like this.

How long have they been out? Parameters?

Has it been like this since it got stuck in the powerhead, or did it heal and then this started again? If recent, could it be something in the tank that's picking at it, like a fish or crab?

@reeflover they primarily come out at night or when feeding. They also were not there prior to the powerhead incident. I will say that it was a nasty split that took weeks to complete. Parameters are:
Sal 1.026
NO3 is typically around 5-7ppm
Mg is 1230
pH 8.2
@D-Nak I haven't seen anything pick at it. I'm beginning to wonder if it was just a bad healing process..?...

Well things got worse for my Black Widow BTA. The mesenterial filaments are all out. I did iodine dips for a bit but didn't seem to help. Tank parameters same and steady as above (Ca is 300; low but don't think low Ca is the issue) All other nems in the tank are fine. Any last thoughts?
