Hi all,

I need to find a way to make a cover for my 70 gal Fluval Osaka, but I cant find anything. The problem is that the tank has round corners and I can't find a way to implement those corners into my cover. Does anybody have an idea on how I can accomplish this or if theres a place that sells covers, preferably mesh, for this type of tank?

Heres a pic of my tank for reference.

Thank you all so much!

Mesh would be way to go if you want one. I ready an article someone did a while back it was pretty good. Check the article section.

I've read the article I think. I could go with clear mesh and i'd have no problem building one myself, except I cant find round corners to build one. All I've been able to fin has been 90 degree corners :(

Oh I see. That sucks. Can you possibly use a router bit on edge piece to round it off?

RedSea actually makes a kit. I understand your corners are rounded. But with their kit, you can have it sit on the inside of your tank. I love mine!

I just built my custom top with nylon mesh I picked up from a fabric store. This mesh is so much easier to work with than fiberglass screen and was only 2.00 for 1/2 a yard. This barely affects the lighting. I love DIY and everyone else’s ideas that I took this from. Ty!!

Thank you all who have posted! Amazing DIY covers. Sounds like I'm gonna have to invest in some tools. I'm not familiar with working with acrylic/plexiglass. I'll have to figure something out!

How about just sanding it to round pretty sure acrylic and even the metal aluminum frame can be sanded
That way you don’t have spend too much money on tools and spend it on the system

Yes, that might be an option I can always sand it and try to round it off. That may be the way to go. Thank you for your input!
