Hey fellow reefers ! I was looking online and researching a few options for a mesh lid to put on my planet aquarium tank it’s a 90 gallon display 4’x2” does anyone have the same tank with a lid on it I would love to see ! Also need suggestions as to what lid is a good purchase my tank is lit by two so primes on the side with the glass mount so the lid would have to compensate for that. I want to get some wrasse in my tank but scared of them jumping out as my black ice clownfish jumped out a couple of weeks ago ANY HELP IS HIGHLY APPRECIATED THANK YOU AWESOME REEFERS !

I used a ClearView lid on my RedSea 170 which is also a rimless design. You can customize as much as you want.
Pros - Look nice, customizable, easy to clean

Cons - a bit expensive, take 4+ weeks to get

Here is a link to their website. https://www.clearviewlids.com. Good luck

They do look super nice that’s what made me want a lid was seeing those ! I guess it’s settled unless anyone thinks that’s a waste of 260$ for that specific lid ? It does look cool but is it a must have ? Would I be mad at myself for spending any money at all on a cheap one over this one that seems to just be the “best”

I had a fish that escaped a couple of times which I was lucky of enough to catch before it was too late. I like it for peace of mind, one less thing to worry about on one of my tanks:)

I have Clearview lids on my RSR 250 (3’) and RSR 525XL (5’). Love them, very clean look. I have the classic but the new Tsunami also looks nice. As said the only downsides are the cost and lead times. I’m in Australia so not only did I have to deal with the exchange rate but also international shipping but I still don’t begrudge the expense. And both lids arrived in perfect condition. Could not recommend them higher.

If you go for these then have a good think about what options you want to add in (cutouts for cables and lights, feed doors etc). For bigger tanks I strongly recommend a feed door, very glad I went with that for my 525 lid.
