I've noticed that my zoas haven't looked as healthy recently and decided to dip my zoa rock in Revive. This resulted in a bunch of little guys coming off (please see the pictures). Are these pests, or just copepods? I was hoping to pick up a mandarin goby one of these days, so fingers crossed on copepods. Thanks!

Evening,

Looks like you are right. Maybe amphipods. I don’t see anything bad, but one thin worm I would want to know about. I can‘t see it clear with my ipad I use. Maybe someone with a better screen can see what it is.

Yep, those are amphipods. Mandarins can eat the younger ones since they hatch small. If you want to add copepods to the system, let me know. We have a species that tends to populate, long term.

Best,
Chad
