The Reefbrite adds the blue led's and you can get it without. But I really like to run the led's for a couple hours before and after the MH turns on and off.

lumen Bright, unfortunately they done make the nice DE pendant version any more, may be able to find one used. They us to be best MH pendants. I have the exact dimension tank and that's what I am using. I still like MH lights.

I love supplementing with leds but no controllers on this reef .. I wonder how many I can fit .. on these reefbrite two leds on the side each are controlled by themselves or there's a way I can connect em together on a single dc

plenty of ways to get supplemental LEDS. I question if that reefbright pendant can cover 30x30. I am not saying it can't just doesn't look to have the right pattern to me. That Hamilton has a much better spread pattern.
If you can get the pendant I was talking about it 1 pendant will cover 30"x30" sitting 12" above water they are par machines too.

Sure the reefbrite can cover 30" at 250 watt. The Led's have a separate plug in power brick you could run them on a simple timer.
DE bulbs are mostly on 150 watt bulbs now all 250 and 400 are mogul.

Not sure where you are getting the de not available in 250. De Phoenix 250 is a very nice bulb and available. You just can't get a radium in DE.

Still don't see how that reefbrite can do 30x30. 30x12 maybe but that's not a square "spread" pattern to me. But never used it will defers to par reading if someone has them.

Just wanted to get the best band for the bucks . I have used lumen brite large many times on previous large tank and was still considering that . What about the Hamilton Cozumel sun large 20x20 reflecter . Any good experience with this . I am looking to get the high par on the ends of tank as the coral placement will be minimal in the sides . Mostly Sps will be within the range in the middle or on top . Also on those radiums does the m80 ballast is must to get the correct color or a coral vu 250 ballast will do the job
