I am currently running 150watt 10k bulbs and want to switch to the Phoenix 14k. Would I need to do this slowly so I don't shock the corals.

Yep I just wasn't sure if it would affect the corals changing the kelvin.10k and 14k are the kelvin , not the wattage. Your still 150 watts. Your just fine. 14k will have more of a blue tint to it . [emoji16][emoji41]
I bought the unit used so i have no idea how old the bulbs are. I have switched the bulbs and the corals are not happy the mushrooms and the anemomes have shrunk. Even the dunkins and a few SPS frags that i have are closed up. The lights are very different from the 150 watts that where in the unit. There is alot of blue. The only way you might shock them is if the old bulb is really old. Lumen output on bulbs decreases over time, so a new bulb, even if it's the same wattage and Kelvin can shock them, but for the same aged bulbs a different kelvin will probably not shock them. Some people will raise new bulbs off the tank temporarily until the corals adjust or shorten the illumination period.
+1If the corals are retracting, probably a good idea to lower the photo period or raise them until they get used to the new intensity.
