I just picked up a used 72" MH and PC combo. it has 3 x 400W single end MH and 2 x Power Compact bulbs (at least 24" each as the two stretch almost the whole length). Im going to use this to replace my 72" T5HO fixture over my 210g mixed reef.
the question i have is should i go 14000k or 20000k? if i go with the 10000k Power Compacts, im assuming it will balance out a little more with the 20000k and still give me more color in the corals? But as im still new to the hobby and lighting especially, wasn't sure if it works that way.
im also hoping that this isn't too much light, if there is such a thing
