Everything except sps

I love the look and growth of t-5/mh and I dont plan on doing sps for awhile.

So would it be ok to use this combo over a tank that wont have sps?

When I used halides my leather corals and lps actually grew faster than my sps

Of course. MH and T5 are better lights for any coral, not just SPS.

You do not need high wattage MH for a mixed reef, so 150w HQI or 175w Mogul can cover a 2x2 area with a good reflector.
