Metal leashing?

I noticed that everytime time i use that ADA freshwater algae scraper? Thats rusted at the top i my coral melt. I thoughts its a coincidence but yesterday i used it and my new hammer immediately melted.


Is that possible to have metal in my yank leashing from it?

Could be stray voltage within your tank and the metal scrapper is grounding it, to get such an immediate reaction by your corals. Check out this link for more insight:

Okay so long story short I am having issues with some of my coral. A lot of it is fine but some are not. Stray voltage was brought up as a possible cause. I checked with a multimeter and got a reading of 44 at the highest. Which I'm told is not good. I unplug each thing that sits in the water...
