Metal shaft exposed on mp10 wet side

So I was cleaning my mp10 wet side and dropped it‍.... Everything on it is fine except for the plastic that covers the metal propeller shaft. I have a new one on the way, but it’s not supposed get here till Saturday. Should it be fine to use it as is for two days or should I just use a different powerhead?

I did see someone repair one using heat shrink sleeves. I also poisoned my tank (atleast I think that was the source) with rust instead of replacing. If it runs, replace it when you can.

Isn't that ceramic? Supposed to be right? Not that it matters here just curious. I would think that will be fine, at least for the couple days it takes for the new one to arrive. I don't believe the shaft is completely sealed anyway.

if you run it the way it is or remove the ceramic coating all together just expect it to sound real bad.

As long as it's not rattling you'll be fine for a couple days. Don't run it if it's noisy as it could wear the running surface inside the rotor

Cool, thanks for the quick responses everyone! I test ran it a little while ago and it ran perfectly fine, so unless that changes I’ll leave it in. The order is set for this Saturday morning so it’s not too far off, thank goodness for 2day shipping!
