I am upgrading a 70 rimless to a 137 rimless half inches glass. I was wondering if use a metal stand for a frame, do I need center brace for the bottom of the tank and center brace where the doors is? The tube I be using is a standard 1" inch square tube. Thanks.

You probably don't need one in the front but I'd put one in the middle in the back. Also one across the bottom in the middle won't hurt anything, not sure how much strength it will add either though

You need 1.5" tubing, 1" is to small IMHO. Also add shear gussets to your corners for sure.

I went with 1.25" square tubing and my tank is 135g. You have to make sure you go with the correct gage material. If built correctly even 1" is plenty for a tank this size.

Yep. It's all about how it's built. But obviously the bigger you go the more forgiving it will be on the engineering.
