Ok I have my tank running on 2x250 watt SE bulbs with 2 4foot vho's unsure of the wattage and want to remove this setup since it is all bolted to the top of the canopy I want to take the top off and just place my ATi Powermodule on top now that is 10x54 watt unit ..My question is will I have to move the corals to the bottom or will they be ok since the wattage is just 40 more watts or does the type of light make the difference? So swap lighting or swap and move corals lower to acclimate?

Just to be safe put several sheets of window screen between the light and the tank and remove the sheets one by one until you feel comfortable with the lights. 10 t5s is a lot of light. I'm not sure how it compares to your old set up though.

yeah me either since each bulb has its own reflector all the light is diffused down with the metals on spyder type reflector it kinda bounces everywhere lol i have no screen so to the bottom they go...thanks for the tip
