Methylene Blue + Seachem Prime

Getting a new order of fish soon, planning on using methylene blue and seachem prime while acclimating, will these chemicals have any adverse affects?

No; you are generally going to be fine with those medications. The main thing to watch out for is reduced oxygen levels in the tank; extra aeration is key.

Agree. Bubblers and/or powerhead breaking the surface are your friend

Yeah; you'll be fine with just a bath. You shouldn't even need Prime during that time, honestly.

Well I'm using it because ammonia burn is what killed 4 out of 6 fish from my last order. Thanks for your input, much appreciated.

I'm not sure if you are doing a freshwater dip (less than 15 minutes) or a batch (30 minutes) but when I do either I only use methylene blue per Mr. Fenner's instructions. So far I've had a 100% success rate (not like I'm Mr. Fish over here with thousands - 3 tangs (scopus, lavender, Lt), coral beauty, and yellow assessor.

It really is a good and solid product. If it is a different sort of treatment I defer to others.
