dosed gc Saturday at noon. Will be at work today until 5, get home at 6, can I dose metro, or does it not count because it will be 53 hours since last dose, as opposed to 48?

Thinking as if it were ttm, where it needs to be done no more than 72 hours. Does metro have to be diene every 48 exactly?

Thanks

Allowing 48 hrs in-between metro dosages is just the minimum wait time, to ensure you are not overdosing the medication.

You can always dose it again anytime at or after 48 hours.

So by waiting 3 days, that wouldn’t allow brook or Uronema to repopulate similar to dropping copper levels during treatment allowing them to become free swimmers?

I will dose today. With metroplex, how much do you suggest in 20 gallons of actual water volume, knowing gc was added 48 hours ago?

Uronema has a direct lifecycle; meaning it lives, feeds & reproduces right on the fish (no encysted stage). Therefore, metronidazole is capable of killing the parasites on the fish and also any stragglers in the water. However, it's always wise to administer repeated doses just to be on the safe side. Especially when the purity of the metro you are using is unknown.

For Seachem Metroplex, I would dose 4 measures per 20 gallons every 48 hours.
