Metro binded with Focus, Reef Safe? I am about to treat my fish in a 225 full blown SPS tank. Binded to fish foods this is reef safe correct?

Also can I bind to nori using this method. I have one fish that mostly only eats nori and he needs to be treated.

Guidance is greatly appreciated.

It is considered reef safe as long as you feed what can be eaten. I wouldn’t mix an entire cube and let it blow all over the tank. As for Nori I’ve never done that before but would try a small square at a time

Will the fish that eats nori eat pellets?

I wouldn't try it with nori. Too much risk on leaching. If the fish will eat pellets you can soak them with a few drops of RODI add meds and make a "mash". Feed only what the fish will eat.

Full blown SPS tank, I would run carbon so any residual is removed to be safe.

Blonde Naso New to DT. Went through Round of Prazi, 30 days of Copper Power, another round of Prazi. Went into DT and days later I see white stringy poop. Week later half most my fish white stringy poop.

So the Blonde Naso is where it originated from and he's the one that eats only Nori and a very little frozen Brine. I really need to make sure he is treated especially (my desire to treat the nori). I have seen him take a pellet or two but not commonly.

Yes I will load my reactor with fresh carbon before I start my 10 day medicated feeding. My system is full of SPS frags and large colonies.

What if I make a paste of crushed pellets, Frozen Brine, shreds of Nori add the Metro / Focus. Can I let dry then feed and refrigerate? The guidance is greatly appreciated.

You should be fine then.

I'd start slow and see if the Naso eats the soaked nori, the last thing you want is a bunch leeching into your water column. If you notice lots of leftover nori staying in the column, I would pull the Naso back into your QT and treat it that way, then treat the rest with what they know and love (soaked in focus/metro). I think competition for food makes fish more inclined to eat, to the point where they just swallow the food and don't even taste it.

I think as long as they eat it right away... and it doesn’t sit in the tank for hours, the nori should be fine.

I just had a stubborn case of stringy poop that I thought was resolved in QT pop back up in the DT. Two more weeks of feeding it in DT and everyone is all good. All of my SPS are fine, and my torch actually nabbed a couple of pieces once when I fed too close, and didn’t look any worse for the wear after (wouldn’t recommend feeding it to your LPS on purpose though)
