I just set up a QT(unfortunately too late because I thought ich and it was velvet)
I have one fish that shows know signs of the disease. Will metroplex get rid of it if the fish is carrying it? (I looked through feeds and couldn't find a direct answer)
I'm trying to avoid Copper and CP is not east to get. But I will if I have to. Any advice is great, thanks!

Giving the fish a freshwater dip every couple of days will remove a tremendous number of the parasites from the fish's gills and allow it to breathe better. But this is only temporary. It will however buy you time to get the copper. Highly recommend Copper Power and the Hanna HL copper checker as you mentioned.

API copper test works just fine and available from petco (or mine locally). I would rather treat velvet blind following dosage guidelines as you will definitely lose the fish if you wait for a hannah checker to arrive.

The one fish I have left (a firefish) has zero signs of it. I got my QT up last night and its ready to go. My concern is transferring him over and stressing him, in turn causing him to have an outbreak

Thank you! I'll read this!
