Mexican fern algae?

So I got this tiny pink monti frag I’m trying to nurse back that I refuse to give up on and has started to rapidly grow a green algae on the plug my lfs said it’s a “Mexican fern” and is beneficial looking for second opinions

Looks like Bryopsis to me too. "Mexican fern" is a common name for Caulerpa, which (depending on the type) can look kinda similar, but pretty sure that's not Caulerpa. Look around in the forums for posts about killing off Bryopsis either with high levels of Magnesium, or with Fluconazole.
