So I had a substantial algae bloom in my 5 gallon pico I started nearly 2 months ago. So last week I got 2 Mexican turbo snails.... Well I haven't seen a spot of alage in days, even the coraline growing on the glass is gone... Can I feed these guys algae wafers? Or something else? Or should I bring one back to my lfs?

Those guys are AWESOME. My go to choice to destroy algae. I would think one would be fine, and re-home the second?

That's what I was thinking, they're crazy! I was just going to get one, but they were doing a bogo sale so I figured why not. I've had a mystery snail in my freshwater tanks and figured they'd be similar... NOPE Turbo snails seem to really live up to their name.

I just added 5 turbos to my 9 month old 120 gallon display since I have this hard to remove hair algae. Algaes not really growing back fast enough either so I may have to relocate them to my refugium where I can feed them nori easier.. I wonder if they would consider eating Cheato?
