Mexican Turbo Snails for RTA?

Just curious if anyone has had any luck battling red turf algae with Mexican Turbo snails? I'd like to hear your experience with them or other suggestions.

I would put in as many as 1 turbo per 5 gallons to do the job

A sea hare is better. The snails will only eat stuff sticking up off the rock if there’s no other option.

I picked up a couple of turbos today. I'll update after they have had some time to work.

Update on the red turf algae: It's been 2 weeks and the turbo snails have wiped out 99% of the problem. I'm sure they will keep it in check going forward. The photo is of the worst rock in the tank which was completely taken over.

Mexican Turbos are great algae warriors. And IME they run over frags like M1A1 Abrams tanks.
