Could my test kit be bad? I have been using the Aquaforest TestPro kit for my Mg and it's consistently read 1950
Other Parameters:
Salinity: 1.025
pH: 8.3
Nitrate: 5
Phosphate: 0.02
Alk: 9
Calc: 439
I've followed the instructions to the letter but no matter what it's always reading 1950. I've read that Mg that high will kill snails and such but my snails are doing just fine and everything else seems to be doing great, with great growth and color. I just want to know if I might be doing something wrong or if the test kit is just faulty. I'll have to go buy a different kit to see if I get different results, but I guess I'm really asking if Mg this high will be detrimental to my reef?
