I have a galaxy 400w electronic ballast m59. Can I run a 20k radium on this ballast?

I may be way off line here I thought that m59 is the socket and when I ran radium builds the m80 was the mogul socket. The ballast should work may just have to wire up a different socket .

YEa, you can run a 400w 20k Radium off of a M59 Ballast

M59 will run a 20k radium. The m80 is for the 250w 20k radium

M59 is a 400w Ballast for Mogul (Single Socket)
M80 is a 250w HQI Ballast (Double Socket)

Thanks for the quick replies, it does have a mogul socket. Okay, so I went ahead and ordered a radium lamp.
Another question, I am currently running a off brand name 14k 16" above the water on a rimless 60 cube with mainly sps. When I get the new bulb in, should I raise it up some? My acros are growing really fast now but have lost alot of color, I'm hoping the radium bulb will help with that. I am also running just the blues on a evergrow d120 @ 25% for supplemental and they are 11" off the water.

The m80 is what is recommended to run the mogul base 250w radium. Which is why running hqi ballasts are just as good as the m80 magnetic ballasts
