MH bulb

i think my bulb is dead. when i turn it on, it flickers real quick then doesn't turn off. is it a dead bulb or something wrong with the ballast? moonlights and PCs seem to be working

do you have an extra bulb you can try or have a way to try another bulb. Sounds like your ballast.

unfortunately no. is that the only way to check? the flicker only occurs for a split second, and 9 out of 10 attempts, it doesn't even come on at all.

I have had this happen twice with ballasts. Luckly I had an extra bulb to check.

what was wrong? the bulb or the ballast? frustrating thing is the bulb is literally 2 days old.

The transformer was bad!! Is your lighting still under warranty? It could be the bulb also. Did you go with the 14k?

i just ordered a 14k from hellolights.com, just in case the bulb is dead. the crappy thing is the store i bought the fixture from is in boston, and now i'm in NY. ughhhhh...i hate my life

Do you still have the 10k that was in the mh fixture? I thought I remembered you were just changing bulbs?

i'm guessing the store won't take responsibilty for it and i have to go through the finnex customer service if it's not just the bulb?

no the 10k is the one that's not working. 14k i just ordered about 10 mins ago, after trying to fix the 10k for half an hour. i only have one MH bulb right now, and it doesn't work...=[ i think i'll end up making the drive back up to boston tomorrow morning if the store can help me out w/ it.
