MH Bulbs from Lowe's

I was just at Lowe's and saw Sylvania MH mogel bulbs (175, 250, & 400) for $29 each. Has anybody tried one of these on a reef tank? I'm not looking for reasons why they won't work, just anybody who has actually tried one. If so, what was your results?

Im sure they would work fine but they are probably 5500K? White to yellow in color?
