I want to go back to MH from LED. I found a fixture that is 72" has 3 x150MH with 2x 80W T5. Do we think that would be enough for a custom 200g that is 26 inches tall? I will hang it from the Yo Yo's in my ceiling so i can vary the fixture from 4-16 inches off the water. Will the 150's with the T5's be enough to penetrate well enough. Tank is euro braced open top with home made mesh tops, no braces to cause shadowing.
What do you think?

My friend just did the same thing. Went from led back to mh and I think he has the same fixture. He has a 300g mixed reef with clam on the bottom.

Depends on what you want to keep. Softies would be ok, Some low light LPS, but not SPS, not enough light. at 26" you'd need 250w Halides.

So you don't think the 150w with 2 80w T-5 is enough, how about placing SPS in top 3rd of tank?
Ok would a 60" ATI 8x80w T5 be doable? Not that familiar with T-5 as I have never used T-5. Yes I will do SPS.

Nope. They may survive, but would not thrive, with the 150s and Ts
8x80 would be more than plenty of light.
