What's the deal with this coral, is it an LE or not? I don't see much on it and there is nothing on the reeffarmers site about it.

i heard it was LE. I have one of the few frags of it. the original owner is on here and he will chime in.

i can take pic of the frag tomorrow, but this is the reason you have not seen much of it yet: When they are fragged they loose most of the color (outer rim of colony) once they went into my tank at least. After some time when more heads grow on (two weeks started coloring up) it becomes more like the mother colony. I think that is why you dont see them for sale yet.

im sure Rob will post pics of the mother colony.

i have a nice frag too and its pretty sweet....like it a lot....definitely le material....

ahh i didnt want to post it here since i would have everyone pm me... but theres a whole thread on it if you look in the lps forum...lol...or if you go to wwc site it the pic on their lps button....

I have a frag of it as well that is growing baby polyps and coloring up by the day. Very cool coral.

Anyone know if the inland empire auction happened yet? A 2 polyp frag is being auctioned from reef farmers.

I have to ask, why does it matter?

Don't take this the wrong way but why do you have to argue the LE thing every time it comes up?

To some people, it does matter.

Most of your posts are to contest the LE thing. If you don't agree, that's fine. Let the people that do follow it enjoy their hobby as they please...

I'll bite......

I've been offered a frag of this coral and I've not heard of it before. I pay for my hobby by selling and trading frags. I will pay good money for a coral if I know I can sell a frag or two to pay for itself. If I pay "LE" money for a coral that isn't a true LE, I wont be able to sell it for enough to get my money back. I don't want to pay $80/eye for a coral that I will be hard pressed to sell for $20. Not to mention that with any real LE coral you know that it's going to survive and you KNOW what kind of color and growth pattern it will have. Not like a wild colony that can morph wildly or die right off the bad.

That answer your question? I'm tired of the LE debate. There are plenty of active threads on RC on this topic, let's leave it there. I'm here to enjoy myself.

Thank you to everyone else for answering my question.

Inland Empire Coral Farmers Market
Hey Tony. Check out the auctions page of the link above. Tyree has it listed as a new stony LE. He hasn't updated the LE portion of his site in months. He is supposed to do an auction this month or next on the coralfarmersmarket site, after he gets it revamped as it was hacked not to long ago. I've been selling frags locally for 150 for 2 polyps, don't sell it for 20 a polyp unless you just want to be kind, LOL! I've had the colony for months now, it is a fast grower, and the colors on the mother colony are way better than when I got it. The flourescent green is getting brighter. My avatar is a pic of a single polyp under sunlight.

I have a frag also and it is a very nice piece. I don't think you would have a problem making your money back.

Glad everyone is enjoying their Mia's! All of you are in for surprises though, you will flip when it reaches full potential, which I'm not even sure what that is yet, keeps getting better.

Rob, thanks for offering the frag to me when you did! Ps, all the other frags are doing great!

The bright green edges are really starting to come in and my mouths are pink/redding up. I just keep feeding it every couple days and it is nice and happy.

I just replaced two bulbs a geissman AB special and a UVL Aquasun with a ATI Blue+ and a KZ fiji purple, that has already had a big effect on the colors and I can't wait to see how it ends up.

I was asking a question, not making a statement

Agian there was no comment on my belief of LE's. From what I've seen of this coral it's beautiful and was curious as to if you would pass it up if it was not a LE for something else, not for argument sake just curious this time.
