Hi everyone,
My name is Michael and from Rotterdam, Netherlands.
i started reefing 2 week’s ago after i was gathering information for months.
i came across a tank 100x50x50 this was already running with some fish and some leathers. So i picked it up (overhasted it)
took everything with me: sand water fishes
First few day’s i just let it run so everything would acclimate.
a few day’s later i get myself a new light: blue marine maxled 160 watt. Have to say im pretty happy with it but still seeking the right program. Anyone here using this light? Im really curious about your settings.
later i came across a guy named Jason Mack who is active on this forum to. Believe me guys Jason is the best! He is helping me bigtime and aswers all my questions and believe me i have a lot.
back to the tank after a few days started with testing my water, almost everything i tested was wrong to high to low...
Together with Jason i started working my watervalues did a wc and cleaned the tank.
every day my tank started to look better and became real happy with it.
Untill the beginning of this week a brownish slime algue is taking over and its taking over fast.. went to TLF with jason and looked at it under the microscope. Diagnosed Dinos
Got my self a uv 36watt and copepods and phytoplankton and started to fight the Dinos since yesterday.
Quite a long story . After this i will update more frequently.
